British Government Attacks Facebook Security Risks
Would a Soldier inadvertently release secret or sensitive information on a social media site? Apparently the British Ministry of Defense has some concerns. Many people use Facebook as a way to communicate with distant family members, relatives and friends but that doesn’t mean that the communication is harmless.
How can the British Government or any Government be capable of controlling information? A secret could inadvertently reach the wrong person in a matter of seconds! As sites like Facebook stake claim to user generated content, this could add additional complications. Does this mean that a government secret could become the property of Facebook?
What about business discussions or powerpoint slides? Could Facebook stake a claim against intellectual property that your company or employees have created? This problem generates more questions than answers. How can anyone be expect to police the massive number of social media platforms?
